The Newtown May Fayre will be taking place on Saturday 11th May 2024, 11.30am – 2.30pm, with the Year 2 maypole dancing getting us started at 11.45am.

The fayre cannot happen without your support and there are lots of ways to get involved.

Please sign up to help on one of the stalls – even just half an hour is a big help.  Please sign up using the following link:

Raffle Tickets – these will be available to buy using the following link up until 9th May using the following link

https://newtown-pta.sumupstore.com

Once you have bought your tickets online, they will be put in children’s bags to come home at the end of the week.

Alternatively the PTA will be selling tickets on the playground at pick up time on Wednesday 1st May and Wednesday 8th May.  Tickets purchased online will also be available at these times for collection.  Finally tickets will be available to buy on the day at the fayre.

Friday 3rd May – this will be the day to bring in most of the donations needed.  As a thank you for bringing in your donations, children can come to school on this day in their own clothes – they will still require a coat and closed toe shoes (no lace ups).

The donations needed on this day are as follows:

Bottles - for the bottle tombola stall at the May fayre and also for the stall at the carnival.  Bottles can be alcoholic, non-alcoholic, smellies etc.

Wrapped sweets for the sweet tombola stall – please make sure the sweets are wrapped, still in date, and that they do not contain nuts.

Coins  / loose change for the money tree stall.

Newspapers for making bug houses at the eco stall.

There will be boxes / containers in both playgrounds at drop off time on Friday 3rd May for your donations.  Otherwise please bring your donations to the office.

Thursday 9th May – Saturday 11th May – please bring in:

Plants / seedlings for the plant stall

Cakes, biscuits, samosas, pakoras for the refreshments stall – these do not need to be home made, shop bought is fine!

Again there will be boxes / containers in the playgrounds on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th at drop off time for the donations, or please bring to the office on Thursday and Friday, or you can bring in to school on the Saturday morning.

The fayre is a major fundraising event for the school but to make is a success we do need your support, so please do bring in your donations, sign up to help on a stall, and bring along your family and friends to the fayre!

Thank you in advance for all your help,

Newtown PTA
