On Monday 21 February 2022, the Prime Minister set out the next phase of the government’s COVID-19 response ‘Living with COVID-19’. COVID-19 continues to be a virus that we learn to live with and the imperative to reduce the disruption to children and young people’s education remains.
In order to reduce the number of days of lost learning Newtown School will continue to follow the guidance set out by the UK Health Security Agency. This guidance document can be read below.
The hope is that the school will not have to go to remote learning again, however should a class be closed by the local health authority due to an outbreak, or the UK go back into a Nationwide lockdown then the policy below states how it would be dealt with.
