All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are currently entitled to a free lunch every day.

Re: lunch provision from September 2024

We are very excited to share with you that our new lunch provider from September 2024 will be The Kids Lunch Company.  We feel that this is a very positive move and that with The Kids Lunch Company we will receive a healthy, nutritious and exciting lunch provision. We have seen The Kids Lunch Company in action at other local schools and have been really impressed. We would therefore strongly encourage all children to take up the FREE lunch provision on offer.

If your child has specific dietary requirements or allergies please contact the office to request a Specific Diet Request Form.

From our observations and discussions with KLC we are confident that there will be a wide variety of choices for all pupils. KLC have been running this service for 21 years and are very experienced in reacting to the demands of each school.

We are feeling very positive about this move and would really like to encourage all pupils to try the FREE lunches provided in September. We are confident that once the children see what is on offer they will be excited too. However should you wish to opt-out of the FREE lunches and send your child in with a packed lunch instead, please email the office (office@newtown.education) as we do not wish to have food waste.
