Welcome to Newtown School

Newtown School is a successful, vibrant school, at the heart of our community.  We have a highly motivated, resourceful, and committed team of staff and governors who care about and nurture the needs of every child. 

We want our children to be happy at school and for learning to be fun and challenging.  We set high expectations and want to give our children every opportunity to become confident and independent learners.  We work closely with parents to ensure this happens and recognise the importance of good communication between home and school. 

The excellent start begins in our Pre-School and continues throughout the school with staff providing a happy, supportive, and purposeful environment and a curriculum that excites and stimulates the children’s imagination and curiosity.   Frequent trips and visits, community activities, and a wide range of after-school clubs further add to the opportunities available to children. 

Our holistic and well-rounded approach towards education provides an exceptional foundation for life-long learning and we ensure that each child has the opportunity to grow in self–confidence and academic success so that they leave our school with fond memories and fully prepared for the next stage of their education.    

We actively welcome new parents, parent helpers, and all visitors to the school.  We have lots of plans for the year ahead and will keep you up to date with events and news as they happen.
